Which Social Media Platform is Right For Your Business?

Updated: Jun 13, 2022

There are so many different social platforms available, but how do you know which will work best to achieve your business goals?

The first thing you’ll want to figure out is what is most important to you. Is it to increase brand awareness? To attract new customers? To reach a whole new demographic? Once you figure that out, you can then use the social platform that’ll best help you achieve those goals.

Facebook

It’s a globally known platform with about 1 billion daily users which means there’s a huge opportunity to reach and interact with an equally large audience. Facebook is also great for interaction, especially when you consider Facebook messenger. Facebook also provides analytics from your business page, which you can then use to plan content including posting at optimal times, target the right audience and monitor content performance. Facebook is a great resource for almost all businesses.

Instagram

Instagram is a visual platform which was created for mobile use and it’s more popular than Facebook with younger generations. It focuses heavily on visual content which makes it a great way for audiences to consume content on the go. If you’re trying to reach a younger audience and your business has an emphasis on visual content, Instagram is for you!

Twitter

Twitter is a great way to promote your businesses website, products, sales and direct consumers to your other social pages. There is a word limit on each Tweet and the platform requires multiple Tweets a day to really gain some traction. In addition, you’d be competing with a lot of high profile users. Twitter may not work for all businesses but with consistency and a solid social strategy, you will see success!

TikTok

TikTok is the newest platform to be introduced and its success has skyrocketed. TikTok is all about short fun videos and there’s a great mix of business and personal accounts on the platform. TikTok is great to share content for quick consumption. It also appeals to a younger audience and is a great way to build a community around your product, service and/or brand.
